This is a small, two-tiered jubako (lacquered food container). It's small, so I bought it thinking I could use it for lunchboxes other than for New Year's, but I haven't used it much and have been storing it at home. I'm selling it to declutter. I bought it at a very stylish general goods store in Kyoto. I think it's a traditional craft item from somewhere, but I've forgotten where.
