About EDWIN EDWIN is a Japanese denim and jeans brand. The brand name "EDWIN" comes from rearranging the "D" and "E" of DENIM, reversing "NIM" to "WIN". (It is also said to be derived from Edo [EDO] winning [WIN].) At the time of its founding, EDWIN aimed to create easy-to-wear jeans that fit the Japanese physique, in contrast to American-made jeans that were stiff, shrunk, faded, and expensive. They imported denim from America. Domestic sewing began in 1961, and they produced one after another masterpiece denim "Made in Japan." Among them, the representative model is "503," released in 1997. It is also known for using Hollywood actor Brad Pitt as a campaign character, and it is still an iconic model representing EDWIN.
