While many saddles are 72mm wide, there are occasional longer ones, and using a 72mm saddle results in gaps in the slot, causing a loss of sound quality, which is a shame. This saddle is 74mm wide, so it will fit snugly even in a longer slot. Although unused, it is made of natural cow bone, so there may be dots or scratches upon close inspection, which is why I've listed it as "like new." There may also be slight variations in size.
