(It can be easily removed with 4 screws.) 1. Fit the tool for disc drag onto the drag cover. 2. Turn the drag cover counter-clockwise with pliers or a similar tool to remove it. [When to Use This Product] After hooking a large fish, the drag may stop making noise. In most cases, there is no need to send the reel for overhaul. The cause is usually that the drag spring and pin have come loose. Simply removing the drag cover and returning the pin to its original position will fix the issue. Even if the pin is broken, you can fix it by ordering genuine replacement pins instead of sending the reel for overhaul. Furthermore, continuing to use the reel when the drag is not making noise can damage the spool, which is not ideal. The 6th photo shows my reel after hooking a bluefin tuna, where the drag stopped making noise, and you can see that the spool is damaged.
