Moulin des loups Moulin des loups (Moulin des loups) was originally Saint Amand (Saint Amando). Saint-Amand was founded in 1705 by Nicolas Demoutiers in Saint-Amand-les-Eaux, Nord, near Belgium, in northern France. They collected clay from the Scarpe River, obtained wood from the nearby forest for the kiln, and the finished pottery could be transported on the Scarpe River, a land blessed for pottery production, where they began to make faience. They created patterns of flowers and animals, and traditional blue & white works. After that, it went through various changes of ownership, and also went through the waves of the times, such as the closure of the factory due to the French Revolution, and in 1928, the name was changed to Moulin des Loups Hommage.
