The undergarment was also handmade. It was a difficult task, as the doll can't be dressed properly if the undergarment and kimono don't match. It couldn't be made very cheaply. How to make the Gosho Ningyo's body color: 1. Dispense 300cc of modeling paste. 2. Add 50cc of gesso. 3. Add 150cc of water and mix well. 4. Add water-based paint to create your desired base color. Yellow ochre. Carmine. Teal belt. Add these, always in small amounts. Strain to remove impurities. Repeat 4-5 times to create a solid base. Apply this 18 times, drying between each coat, and finally, wipe everything down with a tightly wrung towel, then polish with a dry towel. It's a lot of work.
