This type of "Elephant" was available in 5 sizes: 7cm, 10cm, 17cm, 22cm, and 35cm, in two colors: gray and beige. The item for sale is the smallest size, the 7cm model in beige. Actual size excluding the tail: H: Approximately 6.8cm W: 4.2cm D: 10.5cm This is an "Elephant (beige color)" that was produced by Steiff from 1956 to 1958. It has a silver button, a red back pad with the Steiff company name printed on it (instead of a chest tag), and a yellow tag that is just a piece of cloth due to damage... It is, in a way, a complete item with all IDs. The eyes are two-tone gray and black. The tusks are plastic, the ears and soles of the feet are felt, the tail is cotton string, the body is mohair, and the stuffing is wood wool. It is a no-joint design. As it is an old item from over half a century ago, it has an age-appropriate sense of aging, and the felt on the underside of the right front leg is slightly lifted.
