It's often compared to the DOD 250 and MXR Distortion+, and it's a pedal that takes that kind of sound and adds the unique EQD touch. It has two channels with different gain levels, each with clipping switching, allowing for a variety of sound creation. It also has plenty of volume, and can be used like a clean booster to add more punch to distortion created by an amp or other effects pedals. It can be used with bass without any issues, and it's used as the main distortion pedal by Kentaro Nakao of NUMBER GIRL in his band Crypt City, creating a sound described as a "heavy tank." I bought it new a few years ago. Since then, it has only been used indoors, and I haven't applied any Velcro to the back.
