During inspection, there were no noticeable scratches or stains, so I believe it can be worn as if it were new. With gold leaf scattered on it, the auspicious fan design and plum blossoms, and the overall elegant appearance, it seems suitable for casual celebratory occasions, such as celebrating a friend's promotion at a cafe or tearoom... I think it's an item that can be paired with a wide range of outfits, from cotton and紬 (tsumugi) to komon (small patterned kimono) and plain color kimonos without crests.
