This item was purchased new. There are some minor scratches and scuffs from use. Also, there is a tripod mounting screw hole on the bottom, so it can be used by attaching it to a tripod. There are no problems with charging or use, but the cable has gotten mixed up with others at home, so I'm not sure if it's the same as the one that came with it when it was new.
