The zipper is TALON. All cat-eye buttons. The fabric is probably cotton gabardine, but it has a slightly draping feel like rayon gabardine. It has a short, boxy silhouette that's in style, and it goes perfectly with wide pants like gabardine pants or slacks. The size is also perfect at 40. It's an old item, but the condition is also good! There was a PEPSI patch on the pocket, so it was probably worn by a salesman at the time. (This is also included!) Highly recommended for those who like US brands from the same period, such as HERCULES, BIG MAC, and SEARS.
