I purchased this about 4 years ago because I wanted something that wouldn't be uncomfortable for my child when they fell asleep in the car. It's advertised as having a "first-class seating comfort," and my child slept soundly in it! I used it about 2-3 times a week for about 4 years, so there is considerable wear and tear, and there are also stains. No one in my family smokes, so there's no concern about cigarette odors.
