It's called "tato-shi," "tato-gami," "bunko-shi," or "bunko-gami," and there are many other names... (In some places, the name "tato-gami" may also refer to kaishi paper or clothing mats.) The main roles of tato-gami are ① mold prevention, ② dust and dirt prevention, and ③ wrinkle prevention. ① Mold Prevention As the name suggests, tato-gami is made of paper, so it is expected to be absorbent.
