The illustrations are signed by Rikichiro Tomita. He worked as a JNR (Japanese National Railways) employee and, in his spare time, went on sketching trips across the country, drawing steam engines, engine depots, stations, etc. He is highly regarded for leaving behind moving works (materials) that photos could not capture for posterity. These plates have been carefully stored and have not been used as tableware. For railway enthusiasts, or as a gift for someone who loves trains, how about these?
