I've made a bag with a gusset using a smooth, water-repellent fabric that feels sturdy. It has a cute strawberry and rabbit pattern. It looks a bit blue in the photos, but it's beige. Photos 4 and 5 are the closest to the actual color. It is not a laminated fabric. Although I haven't used interfacing, it has a sturdy inner lining (with an inner pocket) and a magnetic button. The top of the bag and the handles have been reinforced with interfacing. D-rings are attached to both sides, so you can attach your own shoulder strap to make it a shoulder bag. The gusset will be folded for shipping.
