HOMARE Violin Shoulder Rest This shoulder rest was purchased new last year at a musical instrument store in Tokyo. It's the new version (Ver. 2), with a brown base instead of black. The legs are black. (For violin. Not for viola.) I was trying out several shoulder rests, and this one was developed by a Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra viola player. It received high praise from professional musician acquaintances, who said it had a good tone and was easy to play, so I splurged and bought it. However, it didn't suit me as I prefer a higher shoulder rest, so I'm reluctantly selling it. It's in beautiful condition, having only been tried out a few times after purchase. It has never been used in a performance. It has been stored at home, and all the original accessories are included. The receipt is not included due to personal information. The warranty card (unfilled) that came with the instructions is included, but it's slightly over a year since the purchase date. There are some slight dullness and minor scratches on the metal parts of the legs. It seems to have been there since the purchase. The body is semi-transparent, and when held up to the light, it looks like cracks or wrinkles, but this was present from the time of purchase and is likely due to wrinkles in the adhesive (double-sided tape?) of the pad. The price of this shoulder rest has increased, and the current list price is 36,960 yen.
