Purchased from an antique shop in Paris. This is a set of a very old antique iron and ironing board. The iron is missing its wooden handle, which should have been there originally, perhaps due to decay. The ironing board is also authentic, with a deep design (a mechanism to prevent the iron from falling off—therefore, it cannot be used as a trivet) and a beautiful French-style mesh pattern, as if carved from iron. Both items are said to be very old, dating back to the 1800s. In the past, France put a lot of effort into beautifying kitchen and household items, as exemplified by the beautiful enamelware, and this is a very rare and beautiful ironing board that is not often seen. From above, it has a flower-like design. The iron is very heavy, so it can be used for various purposes, such as a doorstop, depending on your ideas. The ironing board is beautiful even when displayed leaning against something, and it can also be used to place other antiques on. When these two items are casually placed together, the space will instantly become filled with an antique atmosphere. As shown in the last photo, there is some damage to the ironing board, but there is no wobbling, and it is not considered to be a major concern.
