This is a first edition published in 1979 by Fujingaho Sha. It includes patterns and technique explanations, with large and numerous illustrations, making it an enjoyable book. The author, Masano Onoe, was the embroidery instructor for the then-Crown Princess Michiko and is said to be the founder of pictorial embroidery in Japan. It has a dedication, but also includes Masano Onoe's signed autograph from the spring of 1986. (The dedication has been blurred in the image.) As it is an item from that era, it cannot be considered new and shows natural signs of age and discoloration.
