This is a Chinese-made hotaru-de (translucent) teacup set, likely acquired by my family around 30-40 years ago. It's possible it was already old at the time of acquisition. ⚫︎ Set of 6 ⚫︎ This is a type of pottery called hotaru-de, where the patterns appear when held up to the light. ⚫︎ There are versions with and without gold accents; this set has gold accents. ⚫︎ Image searches suggest Jingdezhen, China, but there is no definitive proof (included for comparison with other listings). ⚫︎ No original box. The paper box it came in is also quite old, so I will ship it directly in a cardboard box (with careful packaging) or repack it in another box. ⚫︎ Marked "Made in China" on the bottom. ⚫︎ Some discoloration and stains are visible.
