This reduced line trouble and enabled full casting by smoothly introducing the line to the original guide by narrowing the line loop due to the resistance. However, since the ring resistance is continuous, the resistance became a brake for line release in the latter half of the cast. This time, while bringing the taper angle of the spool ring closer to the reel for throwing with priority on distance, a large variable cut surface was introduced at the bottom of the ring. The line released immediately after casting hits the spool ring with great force, so the multi-cut surface adds a slight resistance like an oval ring to prevent line trouble. In the middle to the latter half of the cast, the lure's casting speed is reduced due to air resistance, and the momentum of the line released from the spool also weakens, and the loop expands, reducing contact with the variable cut surface. The released line only touches the upper end of the spool ring, so the taper angle with less resistance provides minimal release resistance. When casting in a tailwind, the casting feel is so good that you might mistake it for stretching in the latter half of the cast compared to conventional rings.
