Material: Silk This is an antique maru obi that has been remade to be tied in a single layer otaiko (drum) style. Therefore, there are seams, but they do not interfere with tying. It looks great with antique items, as well as modern tomesode (formal black kimono), homongi (visiting kimono), iromuji (unpatterned colored kimono), and Edo komon (fine stenciled kimono). This is a rare obi that allows you to easily tie the coveted antique maru obi. There is a sense of use, the characteristic darkening and aging of antiques, and a sense of history, but the fabric is not weakened. If you are interested, please consider it.
