This is a postcard of Amalienborg Palace that I bought when I visited Copenhagen in 2003♪ Amalienborg Palace is used as the winter residence of the Danish royal family. Four Rococo-style palaces are arranged around an octagonal square, and in the center of the square is an equestrian statue of Frederick V, who built the palace. When Her Majesty the Queen is in residence, the national flag is flown on the roof, and the changing of the guard takes place every day at noon, attracting many tourists.
