Techniques like flutter-tonguing ensembles and chords in the high register are used frequently and naturally. This is a valuable Philharmonia edition, printed with a powerful technique where the score suddenly changes orientation from vertical to horizontal at points where the number of staves increases. In addition to Bartók's characteristic unusual time signatures like 4+5/8 and 5+2/8 (rehearsal number 35), special techniques such as col legno, and timpani glissando, the complete edition also includes a chorus at the end. It is a humming chorus that builds to f, creating harmony. The ending of the suite version is also included in the middle. As these are imported books, there are some inconsistencies in the binding. While there are no missing pages, they appear to be quite damaged. Depending on your intended use, you may need to make some repairs with tape or other materials.
