I'm not sure how to use them, so I used them to hook a hair tie. This hair tie is my personal item and is not included in the product. Actually, it's the obiage (obi scarf) draped over the obi makura and the obijime (obi cord) tied at the end that hold the obi in place. You could sew on strings or Velcro. As shown at the end, there are two small brown stains. They are not noticeable, and you can't see them if you flip it over, but I tied it with the stained side facing out. They are barely noticeable.
