These are high-quality Tsukehagane (laminated steel) Yoshimaru carving knives. I purchased them several years ago, but have only used them a few times, so there are no scratches on the handles. The blades are also clean, but there is something on the back of the leftmost blade that looks like a scratch, rust, or stain. There are tape marks on the back of the case.
