Takaoka Copperware is a general term for copperware manufactured in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture. It is a traditional Japanese craft with a long history dating back to 1611 (Keicho 16). It was designated as a traditional craft product by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry on February 17, 1975 (Showa 50). The top lid of the wooden box is warped due to age. There are stains on the interior fabric, but this does not affect the main body. Please refrain from purchasing if you are overly concerned, as this item has been stored at home.
