Please understand this before making a purchase. About Johanna Gullichsen: Johanna Gullichsen was born in 1958 in Somero, a town about 100 km northwest of Helsinki, the capital. She studied weaving techniques at the Porvoo School of Crafts and has been active as a textile designer since 1986. In the 90s, through a collaboration with a weaving factory in Lapua, central Finland, the Normandy collection, her representative work, was completed in 1997. Currently, her products are sold not only in Finland but also in Japan and other parts of the world, and are highly regarded.
