I purchased it several years ago and have used it occasionally, sharpening it from time to time. While there are some rust spots and minor chipping on the blade, I believe it's at a level where it can be used without issue with some maintenance. The material is steel, so it's prone to rust, but it offers a sharpness that stainless steel knives don't have.
