This is a repurposed hand plane that was once used by a retired carpenter, now converted into a bonito shaver. When I had it sharpened once, the person who did it was surprised and said, "These are very good blades!" It hasn't been used in a while, so there's some rust, but I think it's perfectly usable with some maintenance. On the back of the blade, there's an inscription that appears to read "Sunset" and a drawing that looks like the sun. This item holds a lot of sentimental value, but I no longer use it, so I'd like to pass it on to someone who will. Please understand that it has been stored at home for a long time. Thank you.
