FERNANDES Hotei model, a drop-in model that has been demo-fied. This is a guitar that has been remade from a model with lines. I purchased it about 25 years ago on an auction site. It's a very valuable guitar, so I haven't used it much. No scratches or cracks. The bridge has been replaced with a new GOTOH gtc101, the same as the pro model, from the original Fernandes. The knobs have also been replaced with new GOTOH metal brass knobs. The jack plate has been replaced with a new GOTOH metal one. The selector mini-switch has been replaced with a new Fernandes original. The pots have been replaced with new EMG OEM products. The wiring has been replaced with new Belden wiring. The switch jack has been replaced with a new Switchcraft one. The pegs have been replaced once, but there is only a little bit of wear. The pickups have been replaced with near-new, old-logo EMG-SA pickups, directly mounted. No logo fading or scratches. The strap pins have been newly installed with the same Jim Dunlop recessed type as the original. The Fernandes original strap has some wear and tear, but it's from that time. The truss rod cover has been replaced with a new Fernandes original, and the film is still on it. The neck plate has a serial number starting with L09, and the body is alder. The control panel has been replaced with an aluminum one, and the guitar body has a clear coat finish. The recessed processing is beautiful, as only a professional can do. It seems it was made with the concrete model in mind, so it has deep groove recesses. The line part is matte. There is some discoloration due to deterioration in the resin binding in some places. The neck is almost straight, and the frets have no dents, with about 70-80% remaining. I cleaned it with a chemical polish for the listing. There are no issues with the sound. The batteries will be removed. They are not included. It will be shipped in a soft case, wrapped in bubble wrap, and then in a guitar cardboard box. Please handle the tuning and setup yourself.
