With the same number of Maruki, the patterns are finer and appear more three-dimensional than with the Kata-siki method, making it highly valuable and popular. This is a lovely kimono with the gentle, crisp feel and softness unique to vintage Oshima Tsumugi (believed to be from the early Showa era), the deep brown color and smooth texture characteristic of pure mud dyeing, and the charming Komon patterns drawn using the Ichigen-shiki method. It is very rare to find a vintage item in new, unused condition with the basting threads still attached and in such good condition.
