The Yamauba, who loves the common people and enjoys the scenery of the four seasons while wandering the mountains, is considered a mountain-dwelling youkai (supernatural being), a demon woman, or a fairy. Unlike a woman who has aged into an old woman, this mask has metal fittings in the eyes and gold paint on the teeth, creating a powerful appearance that emphasizes her supernatural nature. Although it is a dedicated mask, there are various designs for the Yamauba, and many allow for the creator's relatively free expression. Interestingly, if the hair is hidden, this mask closely resembles the "Yorimasa" mask, which is used for the play "Yorimasa," and is often used as a substitute. Due to amateur photography, the colors may appear different depending on the lighting. However, after purchase, it has been stored in a dark place without being used at all, so it is in beautiful condition, with no noticeable scratches or stains to the untrained eye.
