You can switch colors by twisting clockwise and counterclockwise. It is engraved with "MONTBLANC GERMANY". The refills are red and blue, which are 4C standard and can be purchased at any stationery store. The red ink is empty. The blue ink can be used, but the remaining amount is unknown. I purchased this used over 10 years ago when I was collecting writing instruments. The slim, unadorned, and beautiful design can be admired for hours by stationery lovers. It has been sleeping in a drawer for a long time, so there are multiple scratches on the body.
