This is a tea caddy by Shakuhachi. I used it daily as a small item container rather than a tea caddy, so there are scratches, wear, and dents (see the fifth photo). They are not very noticeable and don't detract from the design's value. It has a solid weight and a luxurious feel. It has a timeless cuteness and I think it has a presence whether used as a small item container or simply as an ornament. It has both Japanese and Western elements, so it would be a nice accent for a room just by placing it there. The lid closes securely.
