This is likely a Kyonuri (Kyoto lacquerware) bowl. It's a piece with a charming, traditional design featuring fine, thread-like grooves and a beautifully vibrant vermillion lacquer. The sturdy, thin construction of the keyaki (Japanese zelkova) wood also adds to its refined atmosphere. There is some wear inside, and a slight chip on the rim as shown in image 20.
