Tripping is a common cause of falls due to age-related decline in motor function. These socks use a combination of highly elastic "aze-ami" (rib knit) and less elastic "tuck-ami" (tuck stitch) to lift the toes, making it harder to trip and easier to walk. The opening is soft and doesn't use elastic, so there's no uncomfortable tightness. They also have a hook to help you put them on with one hand. The textured knit retains air, and the double-layered toe area provides extra warmth. The upper heel area uses "tuck-ami" to firmly hold the joint, preventing slippage and providing comfort. I'm selling these to someone who will appreciate and use them.
