This item was purchased as a souvenir of my stay at the Shayokan (former home of Osamu Dazai) about 40 years ago. I wore them a couple of times to a fireworks display, but they've been stored in a shoe box for about 40 years since then. In addition to wear and tear, there is some soiling due to aging, but the thongs are in a beautiful, like-new condition. This is a very valuable item that is no longer available for purchase.
