I don't think there will be any noticeable odor, but please understand that this may vary from person to person. The battery is a genuine Dyson battery, so you can use it with confidence. You can use it immediately upon arrival! Everything from the filter to other parts are genuine Dyson products. It has been disassembled and cleaned, but it is still a used item, so please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for perfection or are overly sensitive to details. Please purchase only after you are fully satisfied. I cleaned it as thoroughly as possible, but some dirt may remain.
