Click here → #Susie Cooper on Display This is a "Wedding Ring" pattern teapot in the Kestrel shape, a work by the British ceramic artist Susie Cooper. ✳️Motif (pattern) and Shape ➡️ The motif is "Wedding Ring." The Kestrel shape is one of Susie Cooper's most representative and popular shapes. Her Kestrel-shaped teapots come in round and elongated versions, and this piece is the latter. The spout is shaped like a bird's beak, in a "く" (ku) shape, to prevent dripping when pouring. ✳️Size ➡️ Height (including lid) approximately 19cm, From handle to spout approximately 17cm ✳️Production Era ➡️ Based on the backstamp (with a reserve box), it can be estimated to be from 1932 to 1964. ✳️Condition ➡️ Although it is a vintage earthenware piece from about 80 years ago, there are no cracks, chips, or hairline cracks, and the condition is good. Also, there are no crazing cracks on the surface, inside, or underside of the teapot body, and crazing is only seen on the lid. The inside of the teapot is also clean (there are two black spots that appear to be from the time of manufacture). There is some wear and tear on the lid only.
