This is a medium-sized crackle oval plate by Takuji Hayashi, who creates pottery in Okayama. The piece was fired using Seto white clay, the artist's hometown. It's dyed with acorn tannin, called "tochishibu," which highlights the beautiful crackle. It has the appearance of an antique that has aged over time, and you can feel a sense of rustic charm.
