This is a dress made by my mother, upcycled from a navy blue cotton kimono with a white checkered pattern. It's a remake of a 100% cotton kimono. This was sold in the "shosei-gasuri" (student-style kasuri) section, but I'm not very familiar with kasuri, so I'm not sure if it was placed there by mistake or if it's actually that type of fabric. The pattern is unusual, so I'm not certain if it's kasuri, but it was a sturdy cotton kimono. There is a repaired area on the front center bottom, which was already there when I purchased it. There are also small scratches, repairs from the back, and some yellowing (slightly brownish) and fading. Please understand this before purchasing.
