This is a retro Showa-era straw basket bag. It has been stored at home and has some fading, stains, and other signs of wear, but there are no tears and it's well-made. The size is 40cm wide, 39cm long, 8cm deep, and the handle is about 25cm. It's quite large, so I think it's very practical.
