The horsehide used for the main material is "base" leather, which has only been color-adjusted. The raw hides collected from various parts of Europe are finished at a tanner that specializes in horsehide, which is rare in Japan. The oil that is usually used for finishing is added during dyeing and allowed to penetrate the leather in a drum. By applying friction processing to the surface of the leather that has been created in this way, a smooth and very soft texture is created. This leather is attractive because of its extremely natural state, which cannot be experienced with leather that has been surface-treated with embossing or pigments. The subtle color unevenness enriches the expression, and it is characterized by the fact that each one is different even if they look the same. The horsehide used in this series is not surface-treated so as not to impair the texture.
