I have resumed selling after a long pause. 2026.01.31 ----- A Showa retro and y2k-style, unconventional striped turtleneck vest, a high-neck sleeveless top. The thick stripes are yellow, pink, and blue. The thin stripes are light green, purple, and orange. The pink is fluorescent pink, and the light green is fluorescent green. The yellow is a flashy, vibrant color. I estimate that this garment was made during the Showa retro era, the 1970s. It's a fine knit, or perhaps a jersey-like fabric. I wondered if the material was a cotton blend, but I found the tag: it's 100% acrylic. However, there's almost no pilling or fuzzing. I say "almost" because there are only a few pills, about 10, and some fuzzing on the back where the belt of a waist bag likely rubbed against it. Also, there are pills on the corners of the hem and on the underside of the hem. I initially thought it would be in the category of "beautiful condition," but it's a shame. The fuzzing looks a bit dark, but apart from that, there's no noticeable soiling, and overall, it's a clean item in good condition. I've cut off the pills as much as possible. Please note that the fuzzing remains as is (it's not noticeable when looking at it or wearing it, and you only see it if you look closely in bright light). I've had this vest for almost 20 years, since I got it around 2005. Around 2010, I had a local tailor straighten the originally folded collar, making it higher. Perhaps because of that, the zipper is partially stiff, and it often gets stuck at the collar transition, which always makes me nervous. The fit was also a bit large on me in the chest and shoulders (the waist fit perfectly, but the upper body was loose), so I didn't wear it very often. The mannequin is a size M.
