This is a swimming cap. I received it as a hand-me-down, but I only tried it on at home and didn't use it. The fabric stretches quite a bit, so it fit my 4-year-old with a larger head when he tried it on. However, it's probably best suited for children aged 1 to around 4 years old. It might fit a 4-year-old with a smaller head, but I'm not sure of the exact size. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about minor scratches, as this is a casual inspection.
