Ikoma-san Hozan-ji Temple Fudo Myoo (Acala) Image Good Fortune and Fulfillment, Disaster Elimination, Daishoten Kanki-ten (Ganesha) Prayers Offered: Robust Health, Good Health and Longevity, Traffic Safety, Fulfillment of All Wishes Hozan-ji Temple on Mount Ikoma is located on a mountain and has many stairs, so I will offer this to those who cannot easily visit. Hozan-ji Temple, which enshrines Daishoten Kanki-ten, has long been deeply revered as a deity of business, mainly by Osaka merchants. Even now, it is bustling with many worshipers on the 1st and 16th of every month, especially on the 1st of the month, from the early hours of the morning when the month changes. Prayers were offered by the Imperial Family of Kyoto, the Tokugawa Shogunate of Edo, and the Yanagisawa family, the lords of Koriyama Domain, and it is famous as a sacred place of Shoten worship. In addition, it is a training dojo said to have been opened by En no Gyoja in 655, and there is a legend that Kobo Daishi also practiced here. At that time, it was called Toshida-san Daisho Mudo-ji Temple. Later, it was restored by the priest Tankai.
