For those considering purchasing the FJ series (FJ55Ⅱ, FJ77Ⅱ) of Fossati oboes, the entry-level models, this is a great opportunity! You have a chance to purchase a professional model at a lower price than the entry-level ones! This is a Fossati oboe AO1J (semi-automatic, made in 2015, current new suggested retail price: 1,815,000 yen). I owned it as a sub-instrument, but I mostly used my main instrument, so I'm selling it because I haven't been using it. In July, I had it overhauled before listing it. The body was oiled, the keys were polished, all the pads were replaced, and the joint corks and key corks were also replaced, so the instrument is almost like new. There have been no cracks in the body. As shown in the 6th and 7th images, it has passed the audition test by the late Michel Béné, a tester for Fossati, and it is also a selected instrument by Hitoshi Wakui of the NHK Symphony Orchestra, making it a truly professional-approved instrument! (In Japan, instruments selected by Wakui are particularly well-regarded for their intonation.) It is one of the flagship models among the products Fossati offers in Japan and produces accurate intonation like Yamaha. There is no unnecessary resistance in the high range, and you can play the upper and lower notes with the same pressure. It is also relatively easy to match with tubes, and it seems to work well with both German and French systems. (Of course, tubes are really a matter of personal preference...) This is perfect for those who are thinking, "I want an instrument that is easy to intonate like a Yamaha, but I find it difficult to match with the thicker French-style tubes..." A rosewood replacement bell is also included. It produces a very soft sound, and the instrument feels much lighter, so it's also useful for solo performances!
