TOMBO Deluxe UNICA Formal 1844 This is a TOMBO chromatic harmonica. It's over 30 years old, so it has some cloudiness and scratches, but it produces a beautiful, clear tone that melts in your ears. It was a common instrument in the Showa and early Heisei eras, but it's becoming a rare and retro model, so I'll sell it to someone who understands the price and condition. It probably needs maintenance, but it's a genuine domestic product, so if you take good care of it, it's a harmonica that can still be played. The type is a chromatic harmonica, also known as a slide harmonica. Normally, it plays the same notes as the white keys on a piano, and when you press the button, it plays a semitone higher (like the black keys on a piano). By pushing and pulling the lever that sticks out to the side, you can play songs in any key. Depending on the playing technique, you can create subtle melodies and a rich variety of tones, making it an interesting harmonica. It's designed to allow for a much higher degree of freedom in playing than other types of harmonicas, so it's a very convenient harmonica to have if you want to play jazz, classical music, or nostalgic melodies. Harmonicas can be difficult to play correctly at first, as it's hard to follow the scale, but this is a chromatic harmonica with a normal arrangement of notes in order.
