In 2002, he graduated from the Ceramics Department of the Saga Prefectural Arita College of Ceramics. From 2002 to 2005, he studied under Jun Isezaki (Living National Treasure) in Bizen. From 2006, he studied under his father, Toya, and began production at the Kagamiyama Kiln. Since then, he has held solo and group exhibitions in various locations, and continues to do so to this day.
