Arundos, a workshop in west-central Germany, has a history of over 30 years since its founding by clarinetist Konrad Ossig. They age cane from the south of France for an additional 2-3 years in-house, and all reeds are hand-cut and produced in a family-run workshop. The newly added "Carmen" features a different cut from Manon, achieving good response and high controllability. In addition, the thickness on both sides of the reed and the solid center create a mellow, thick German sound.
